A little clarity can make it easier to begin. Find information about telehealth, appointments, payment, and support.
-
Who can receive care?
Crowned Psychiatry offers personalized psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan through telehealth throughout California. Treatment suitability and individual needs are considered during evaluation.
-
What happens at my first appointment?
Your initial psychiatric evaluation is a conversation about your concerns, symptoms, health history, life experiences, and goals. We discuss clinically appropriate options and develop a personalized plan together. You are encouraged to ask questions.
-
How does telehealth work?
Meet with your provider online from a private, comfortable location in California. Choose a space where you can speak freely and use a reliable internet connection. Appointment details are provided through the practice’s scheduling process.
-
What are my insurance and payment options?
We accept select insurance plans, self-pay, and eligible HSA/FSA payments. Visit our secure booking page to review appointment options and current self-pay prices before scheduling. Coverage depends on eligibility and your individual plan benefits. Please verify your benefits and expected costs before your appointment; insurance participation does not guarantee coverage.
-
How do I schedule care?
Use the Book an Appointment button to open Crowned Psychiatry’s existing OptiMantra scheduling page. New patients may request an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation. Established patients may request Psychiatric Follow-Up & Medication Management. Appointments are confirmed after required intake information and availability are reviewed.
-
What if I need urgent help?
Online booking and website communication are not intended for emergencies. For a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For immediate crisis support, call or text 988.
-
What is medication management?
Medication management is an ongoing partnership. We review how you are feeling, medication benefits and side effects, your questions, and clinically appropriate options. Decisions are made together, and follow-up visits help your plan evolve. Medication is considered when appropriate for your individual needs.
